Vice Prez to inaugurate Sustainable Development Summit in New Delhi

New Delhi, Jan 27 (Reporter) Thought leaders, top policymakers and experts from across the world would deliberate on innovative solutions and formulate strategies at the 23rd World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) slated to be held from February 7 here. The three-day annual flagship multi-stakeholder event organised by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) would be inaugurated by Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, accompanied by Guyanese Prime Minister Brigadier (Retd) Mark Phillips and Union Environment, Forest, and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav. Distinguished speakers at the summit include Vatimi Rayalu, Minister of Agriculture and Waterways, Fiji; Willie Tokataake, Minister of Infrastructure and Sustainable Energy (MISE), Kiribati; and G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant. Teresa Ribera Rodríguez, Minister for Ecological Transition and Demographic Challenge, Spain; Martin Raiser, Vice President for South Asia Region, The World Bank and Sri Lankan Environment Minister Keheliya Rambukwella would also grace the event to be organised at the India Habitat Centre. According to the organisers, WSDS is the only independently convened international summit on sustainable development and environment based in the Global South, orchestrating impactful dialogues on a large scale.
