Varanasi court accepts monitoring petition against Rahul Gandhi

Varanasi, July 21 (UNI ) The local court here today accepted a monitoring petition pending in the court regarding the statement given by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi about Sikhs in India during his US tour in September last. Advocate Vivek Shankar Tiwari said that a case was filed in the court of Judicial Magistrate (II) ,which was rejected by the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (MP-MLA) after hearing. Nageshwar Mishra had filed a monitoring petition in the Sessions Court against the order of the lower court. The court accepted the petition today after hearing. Further hearing will be held on the monitoring petition later on. After the hearing it will be decided whether the case will be registered or not.
