UP: Woman murdered in Badaun

Badaun, Aug 27 (Reporter) A woman was murdered by unidentified persons by slitting her throat in Ujhani area of Badaun district in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. Police sources here said that the woman was murdered on bypass road at Rajnagar colony at around 4:30 am, early morning. The woman was returning to her village Manikpur with her husband after buying medicine from Delhi when four miscreants surrounded them and looted Rs 42,000 cash and a mobile from the woman. Police sources said that Sartaj, a resident of village Manikpur in the area, had taken his wife Samreen alias Nida (25) to Delhi a few days ago to get medicine. Sartaj told the police that he and Samreen reached Ujhani by bus from Delhi at around 4:00 am from where he was going to his village with his wife through the shortcut route of Rajnagar colony situated on bypass when four people surrounded them and started beating them, they said. On receiving the information, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dr Brijesh Singh reached the spot and after inspecting the scene, questioned Sartaj. The SSP said that the police received information that a woman had been murdered by stabbing. On receiving the information, the Ujhani police reached the spot where the body of a woman was found lying on the road of Rajnagar Colony, whose neck was cut with a sharp weapon...////...
