Sultanpur (UP), Sep 5 (Reporter) A criminal carrying a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh was killed in an encounter with the Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh police in the Dehat Kotwali area of Sultanpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, police sources said here. Police sources said that on August 28, armed miscreants carried out a dacoity at the shop of a jeweller in Sultanpur. "In the wee hours on Thursday, the STF had an encounter with one of the miscreants in which he was injured," they said. Police sources said that the injured criminal was taken to the emergency room of the medical college, where doctors declared him dead.
