Basti, July 17 (Reporter) Three more persons were arrested by the police on Wednesday for kidnapping and murder of a 19-year-old student from Kotwali area of Basti district in Uttar Pradesh a few days back, a senior police officer said here.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Gopal Krishna Chaudhary said that on July 12 Mohit Yadav, a resident of Sukrauli village under Lalganj police station, was kidnapped from his rented accommodation in Datturai locality. "On the complaint of the landlord Avinash Singh, a case was lodged against Aditya Vikram Singh, Pulkit Garg, Satyam Kasaudhan, Monu, Syed Ilhan and unidentified persons," he said.
He said that to search Mohit a team was constituted and action was taken against people involved in the incident on the basis of CCTV footage. "Four accused identified as Monu Jaiswal, Aman Gupta, Karan Jaiswal and Sadiq alias Suddu have already been arrested by the police," he said.
The SP said that on Wednesday the police arrested Aditya Vikram Singh, Prerit Pal and Anudraksh Pandey. "The arrested accused revealed when questioned that Mohit had made an obscene video of Satyam. The accused said that on July 12 they went to Mohit's house to get the video deleted," he said.
The police official said that during this they assaulted Mohit and took him in their vehicle. "The accused revealed that on the way Mohit succumbed to injuries. After this, the accused changed the clothes of the deceased and threw his body either in Ghaghra or Kuwano river," he said.
Chaudhary said that the police and SDRF teams are trying to locate the body of the deceased in Ghaghra and Kuwano. "Some more people are involved in the incident and they will be arrested soon.
A reward of Rs 25,000 each has been declared on the absconding accused. Action under Gangster Act will also be taken against them," the SP said...////...
