Baghpat (UP), May 17 (Reporter) Three persons, including a mother-daughter duo, were killed and three others were injured when a truck hit a tempo in the Kotwali area of Baghpat district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Friday. Police sources said that the incident took place on Thursday night when Raja, who works at a brick kiln, was being taken to a doctor by his family members. "Near Sisana village, the tempo in which they were travelling was hit by the truck," they said. Police sources said Swati (24), her daughter Riya (6), and niece Jahnvi (1) were killed in the incident. "Swati's husband Raja, son Viraj, and sister-in-law Shalu were seriously injured in the incident and were admitted to the hospital," they said. Police sources said that the truck driver, Naresh, a resident of Mohanpura in Rajasthan, was nabbed by the people and handed over to the police.
