Lucknow, June 4 (Reporter) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) seems to be losing 32 seats in politically crucial Uttar Pradesh, whereas Samajwadi Party led INDI alliance has turned the table and is poised to register a major gain. According to the Election Commission data, BJP, which had won 62 out of 80 seats in 2019 on its own in 2019 polls, has so far won 3 seats and is leading on 31 seats. SP, which was limited to only five seats in 2019 polls, has one seat and is leading on 7 seats. BJP allies Apna Dal (Sonelal) which is led by Union Minister Anupriya Patel is leading on 1 seat, whereas Jayanat Chaudhary led Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) is leading on 2 seats. Congress, which is part of INDI alliance with SP, has won one seat and is leading on 7 seats. However, this time the margin of votes has reduced as he won in 2019 Lok Sabha polls by a difference of more than 4.79 lakh votes. Karan Bhushan Singh, is son of BJP MP Brij Bhushan Saran Singh. Besides, Dr Bhola Singh of BJP has won from Bulandshahr. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has almost recaptured his stronghold Kannauj. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Lucknow has a decisive lead over his nearest rivals.
