Sonbhadra (UP), Feb 15 (Reporter) More than two dozen people were injured when a bus carrying pilgrims overturned in Robertsganj area of Sonbhadra district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Thursday. Police sources said that the incident took place late on Wednesday night when the double decker bus carrying 65 pilgrims from Basti district to Rameshwaram overturned near the second turn of the Markundi valley. "Police from Robertsganj Kotwali and Gurma Chowki police reached the spot after getting the information," they said. Police sources said that the police rescued Chaturbhuj (40), Nirmala (55), Srikanti (60), Bhim Upadhyay (32), Pujari Sharma (60), Subhash Rai (61), Savitri Boin (60), Ram Sakal (65), Shambhu (65), Dayaram (56), Krishna (65), Suryanarayan (65), Pramila (50), Sheela, Vijay (63), Ramchandra (65), Ravindra Nath (65), Kamalavati, Vivek (19), Kapil Muni (65), Janak (60), Girijesh (55), Mandvi (62), Nebulal (55) and Saroj (48) and admitted them to the district hospital. Police sources said that Chaturbhuj was referred to Varanasi in a serious condition. Robertsganj police station in-charge Shiv Prakash Verma said that there were a total of 65 passengers in the double-decker bus.
