Shahjahanpur, Sep 16 (Reporter) One person was electrocuted and two others critically injured after coming into contact with a high-tension power line during Barawafat procession in Banda area in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh on Monday, a senior police officer said here. Superintendent of Police (SP) S Rajesh said that the procession of Barawafat reached Kunwarpur Rati village from Muradpur village of the area. "During the procession, a DJ system was placed on a tractor trolley and on which a person was standing with a pole. Meanwhile, the pole came in contact with a high-tension power line resulting in the people sitting on the DJ system getting electrocuted," he said. The SP said that the police immediately sent three people to the hospital for treatment, in which Nazir (40) died while Chhote Lalla and Qasim were admitted to the medical college for treatment in critical condition. He said that police officials are at the spot and the procession has ended. Police are investigating. Police force have been deployed at the spot...////...
