Basti, May 19 (Reporter) A five-year-old girl was kidnapped and murdered in Lalganj area in Basti district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Monday. Police sources said that Srishti Gautam, a resident of Siddhnath village under Lalganj police station area, was kidnapped by unidentified persons on Sunday afternoon. "The police had received information about this and was investigating the matter," they said. Police sources said that Srishti's body was found in a bush late on Sunday night. "There were marks of a sharp weapon on her neck. "As soon as the information of the incident was received, Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhinandan inspected the spot and formed a team to reveal the incident," they said.
