Jaunpur (UP), Nov 1 (Reporter) A 45-year-old man was shot dead by unidentified persons in the Rampur area of Jaunpur district here in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, police sources said. Police sources said that Ramjeet Patel, a resident of Pachrukhi village, was shot in his temple while he was sleeping by unidentified persons under mysterious circumstances. "When his wife Chandravati came out of the house, she found Ramjeet lying in the pool of blood," they said. Police sources said that the police took Ramjeet to the community health centre, where doctors declared him dead. "A heavy police force, including Superintendent of Police Dr Ajaypal Sharma, is present at the spot to maintain peace and order," they said. Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Shailendra Kumar Singh said that Ramjeet Patel, a resident of Pachrukhi Jamalpur village, was shot dead while he was sleeping.
