Gorakhpur, July 23 (Reporter): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed Rudrabhishek at the Mansarovar temple in Adhiyari Bagh on the occasion of Shravan Shivratri. Observed on the Chaturdashi of Krishna Paksha during the holy month of Shravan, Shravan Shivratri is a significant day when devotees seek the blessings of Lord Shiva for health, happiness, and prosperity. At the revered temple, the chief minister, , who is also the Goraksha Peethadishwar (chief of cow protection) performed Rudrabhishek with water, cow milk, and sugarcane juice following an offering of sacred items, including Bilva Patra, lotus flowers, Durva grass, and other traditional materials. A priest from the Gorakhnath Temple conducted the ceremony, reciting Mahamantras from the Rudrashtadhyayi of the Shukla Yajurveda Samhita. The chief minister also performed a havan and aarti, as Vedic chants echoed through the premises.
