Deoria, Sep 21 (Reporter) A bank manager and peon of Baroda UP Bank were arrested for taking a bribe of Rs 3,500 from a loan applicant in Uttar Pradesh's Deoria district, the CBI said on Saturday. Bank manager Prince Jaiswal and peon Anoop, both posted in the Rampur Awasthi Dhuswa branch in Bariyarpur area, were arrested on the complaint of Lagada village resident Manish Gupta, whose father R B Gupta, had been sanctioned a loan of Rs 1.55 lakh, the CBI said. CBI Lucknow DSP Amit Rathi said on Friday the CBI team reached the bank and caught Anoop, who was working as a tout for the manager, red handed while he was taking Rs 3,500 bribe The CBI team took both of them with them to Lucknow late at night.
