Deoria, Sep 21 (Reporter) A bank manager and peon of Baroda UP Bank were arrested for taking a bribe of Rs 3,500 from a loan applicant in Uttar Pradesh's Deoria district, the CBI said on Saturday. Bank manager Prince Jaiswal and peon Anoop, both posted in the Rampur Awasthi Dhuswa branch in Bariyarpur area, were arrested on the complaint of Lagada village resident Manish Gupta, whose father R B Gupta, had been sanctioned a loan of Rs 1.55 lakh, the CBI said.
