UP: 20 injured as bus collides with tanker

Deoria, Apr 14 (Reporter) Twenty people were injured in a collision between a roadways bus and a tanker in Gauri Bazar area of Deoria district here in Uttar Pradesh on Monday, a police officer said here. Gauri Bazar police station in-charge Dinesh Mishra said that a contractual bus of UP Roadways was coming to Deoria from Gorakhpur with passengers when it collided with the tanker near Baitalpur depot. "Twenty people were injured in the incident and are being treated at Deoria Medical College," he said. He said that four passengers having serious injuries have been referred to Gorakhpur Medical College for better treatment. "The incident occurred when the tanker was coming out of the depot and at that time a speeding bus hit the tanker. The bus driver was also injured in this accident," he said. He said the police have taken the tanker driver into custody and are investigating the matter...////...
