Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Chemicals and Fertilizers, Smt. Anupriya Patel paid a courtesy visit to Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel at Raj Bhavan on Thursday. Governor Shri Patel welcomed her by presenting shriphal, a traditional garment, and a replica of the Sanchi Stupa as a memento. In return, Union Minister of State Smt. Anupriya Patel felicitated the Governor by presenting a bouquet and a shawl.
Governor Shri Patel and Union Minister of State Smt. Anupriya Patel held discussions on the ongoing efforts under the Sickle Cell Eradication Mission in Madhya Pradesh. The Governor briefed the Union Minister on the organization of World Sickle Cell Day in Barwani and highlighted the state government’s 100-day special campaign aimed at eliminating sickle cell disease. They also discussed various health programmes currently being implemented across the state.
