Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the life of Lokmata Devi Ahilyabai Holkar was dedicated to society, culture, and the nation. Her personality and contributions are a priceless treasure of India. A meeting of the Cabinet has been organized in Indore to express gratitude for her good governance, justice, education, social and religious welfare, water conservation, and to draw inspiration from her life. Malwa has a glorious and golden history, which needs to be highlighted. Remembering the historic figures of Malwa such as Malhar Rao Holkar, Lokmata Ahilyabai Holkar, and Bajirao, Dr. Yadav paid homage to the land of Malwa.
Dr. Yadav was addressing members of the Cabinet at the Durbar Hall of Rajwada Palace in Indore prior to the meeting. He stated that inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s guiding mantra “From Heritage to Development,” the state government is realizing the vision of development while preserving and enriching cultural heritage. The first Cabinetmeeting was earlier held in Jabalpur in memory of tribal warrior queen Rani Durgavati. Today’s meeting is dedicated to Lokmata Ahilyabai. On June 3, another cabinet meeting will be held in Pachmarhi in memory of tribal king Shri Bhabhoot Singh.
