Bengaluru, Aug 26 (Reporter) Ullas Agarbathi, a prominent incence manufacturer, is set to expand its operations with a cutting-edge facility in Tumkur.
The Rs 100 crore investment will make the company Asia’s largest agarbathi export house, significantly boosting production capacity and strengthening its presence in the global market.
Alongside the new manufacturing unit, the company will also establish India’s first agarbathi museum in Bengaluru. The museum will celebrate the rich tradition and evolution of agarbathis, showcasing innovations and their global impact, providing a comprehensive view of the incence industry’s heritage and influence.
Currently exporting to over 50 countries, the company is planning to extend its international reach even further. India dominates the global agarbathi export market, with over 83,000 shipments annually, outpacing China and Vietnam. The domestic market, centered in Bengaluru and Mysuru, is valued at over Rs 1,500 crores.
The new Tumkur facility, spanning 4.35 lakh square feet, will significantly increase the company's production capacity, which currently stands at 600 million incence sticks per month.
The company also launched ‘Nirantara’ oil, a premium puja oil.
