Bengaluru, May 30 (Reporter) Union Bank of India has taken decisive action after discovering irregularities in the accounts of the Karnataka Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribes Development Corporation Limited at its MG Road Branch in Bengaluru.
The bank promptly declared the transactions as fraudulent and has since filed a formal complaint with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to ensure a thorough investigation and swift identification of the culprits. The complaint was officially lodged on Thursday.
In response to the incident, Union Bank has suspended three officials from the branch pending further inquiry.
The bank emphasised its commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency and assured full cooperation with the authorities to achieve a just and expedited resolution.
"Our dedication to our customers and stakeholders remains our top priority, and we are taking all necessary steps to prevent such incidents," a bank spokesperson stated.
