Fatehpur, Oct 5 (Reporter) A father-son duo were killed and another injured in an explosion at a firecracker factory in Asothar area of Fatehpur district in Uttar Pradesh, a senior police officer said here on Saturday. Superintendent of Police (SP) Dhawal Jaiswal said that a huge quantity of explosives was stored in a firecracker factory in Dharampur village in the wake of Deepavali. "On Friday night when the firecrackers were being prepared an explosion took place," he said. The SP said that the factory owner Chaand Babu (55) and his son Ashiyaan (20) were killed in the explosion. "Chaand's nephew Faiz was seriously injured in the incident and was referred to Kanpur," he said. Jaiswal said that there are many firecracker factories in Fatehpur district.
