Washington, Nov 12 (Reporter) US President-elect Donald Trump is expected to pick Florida Senator Marco Rubio to be his new secretary of state, two people familiar with Trump's thinking told CNN on Tuesday. Earlier in the day, US media reported that US entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, once Trump's rival in the Republican primaries who then dropped out of the race to join his campaign, may head the US State Department. On Monday morning, Trump was leaning toward the candidacy of Ric Grenell, who led the Department of National Intelligence during the previous administration, but over the course of the day, after speaking with several of Rubio's allies, the president-elect changed his mind, one of the sources said, adding that it was still unclear whether the offer had been made.
