Agartala, March 8 (Reporter) Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Saturday claimed that unemployment rate of the state has significantly dropped in the last quarter and data showed Tripura’s unemployment is half of the national average.
While addressing the celebration of 2nd anniversary of the second BJP government in Tripura, Dr Saha stated that the law and order situation of the state has improved impressively. Crime rate of the state has stood third from the bottom of the list among 28 states.
PM Modi always says that without developing the Northeast, the development of India is not possible, and for this he introduced the Act East Policy and offered HIRA model for Tripura. As a result, Northeast has experienced massive development in last decade,” Dr Saha underscored.
“My government has been working in a mission mode to make Ek Tripura Shrestha Tripura pursue an inclusive growth model,” he said and claimed that in terms of GDP, Tripura has achieved a milestone, besides significant improvement in infrastructure development, law and order and per capita income.
“Development does not only mean building or construction but also includes the development of communication, human life, the economy, education, and peace. We are working in the direction of Vikshit Bharat,” the Chief Minister pointed out.
From 2018-19 to 2024-25, a total of 16,451 people were recruited in different departments, and over 5,000 were recruited through outsourcing and other means. “In the last investment summit, we signed 87 MoUs with different companies for an investment of Rs 3700 Crore. Rail, road, and other communication networks have been improved a lot and the stability in the government has been bringing investment in the state,” Dr Saha added...////...
