Tremors felt in Delhi-NCR as 6.1 magnitude earthquake jolts Afghanistan

New Delhi, Jan 11 (Reporter) Parts of North India including Delhi and the National Capital Region experienced mild tremors on Thursday after an earthquake of magnitude 6.1 hit Afghanistan at around 2:50 pm. The depth of the earthquake was 220 km. The National Center for Seismology in a post on X said, “Earthquake of Magnitude:6.1, Occurred on 11-01-2024, 14:50:24 IST, Lat: 36.48 & Long: 70.45, Depth: 220 Km, Location: Afghanistan.” The tremors were also felt in Srinagar and other major areas of Jammu and Kashmir.
