Lucknow, Jan 30 (Reporter) The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department in collaboration with a Motorhome Tour Operator on Tuesday introduced Caravan Tourism in the state. While flagging off Caravan Tourism from Paryatan Bhawan in Lucknow Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh highlighted that this initiative will particularly benefit family-oriented tourism, providing a solution in areas lacking proper accommodation facilities. Caravan Tourism is anticipated to bring a fresh perspective to tourism in UP. The Motorhome Caravan has a capacity for 6 to 8 people, with sleeping arrangements for six individuals. Equipped with 2 washrooms and cooking facilities, this vehicle is available for booking through UP Tourism State Development Corporation Limited. The full-day booking facility is offered at approximately Rs 35,000 under the current promotional offer. The booking of Rs 35,000 covers travel up to 350 km, and for distances beyond, an extra charge of Rs. 150 per kilometer will apply. Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture, Mukesh Meshram and UPTDC Managing Director, Ashwini Pandey, were joined by the representative of Motorhome Caravan Tourism at the inaugural event.
