Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has emphasized the need to consider environmental conservation while promoting tourism development. He stated that all tourism development projects will be implemented without harming nature and the environment. Necessary decisions should be made only after proper evaluation.
The fifth meeting of the Madhya Pradesh State Wetland Authority was held on Tuesday at the Secretariat under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav. Minister of State for Forest and Environment, Shri Dilip Ahirwar, was also present at the meeting.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister reviewed the physical verification and demarcation of wetlands in the state and directed the completion of all related tasks. It was informed that, according to the ISRO-SAC-2021 (Indian Space Research Organization - Space Applications Center) Atlas, the physical verification and demarcation of wetlands are being carried out by the State Wetland Authority under the Environment Department. These wetlands cover an area of more than 2.25 hectares. The work is being conducted with the cooperation of the Revenue and Forest Departments under the leadership of the respective district administrations.
