Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that while ensuring the timely availability of chemical fertilizers like urea, DAP, the use of cow-based bio-fertilizers should be encouraged in the state. Farmers are using organic manure on a large scale based on traditional experience and their own initiative. It is also beneficial for the quality of soil and the health of the earth. There is a need to calculate and document the quantity of organic manure being used. On this basis, a model should be developed to encourage farmers to increase the use of organic manure in the state. This initiative of the state will also be exemplary for other states. To discourage chemical fertilizers, options like organic and natural manure should be made available to farmers. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav expressed these views during the review of fertilizer management in the state. Cooperative Minister Shri Vishwas Sarang, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Ashok Barnawal, and other officials were present in the meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Samatva Bhawan.
