Hyderabad, Apr 20 (Reporter) Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds with speeds ranging from 30 to 40 kmph are likely to occur at isolated places across Telangana during the next 48 hours, according to the Meteorological Centre here on Sunday.
The affected districts include Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal.
Similar weather conditions are expected to continue on Monday in several districts, including Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal–Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Mahabubnagar, Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy, Narayanpet, and Jogulamba Gadwal.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at isolated places over Telangana during this period.
The Meteorological Centre further predicted that maximum temperatures are likely to rise gradually by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next three days.
Dry weather is expected to prevail across the state from April 22 to 26.
According to media reports, hailstorms were reported at isolated places in Jangaon district during the last 24 hours. Rain also occurred at one or two locations across the state during the same period.
