Amaravati, Apr 12 (Reporter) Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty winds, with speed ranging from 40-50 kmph, is likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the next three days, and in Rayalaseema during the next 48 hours.
In a daily weather report here, Meteorological Centre on Saturday said, light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema in the next seven days.
Met said the trough extending from Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and the surrounding areas to the westcentral Bay of Bengal now runs from central Assam to the westcentral Bay of Bengal at an altitude of 3.1 km above mean sea level.
Additionally, the trough extending from west Rajasthan to coastal Andhra Pradesh—across east Rajasthan, northwest Madhya Pradesh, and Vidarbha—at 0.9 km above mean sea level has also become less marked.
The cyclonic circulation over the westcentral Bay of Bengal, which extended up to 1.5 km above mean sea level on Friday, has become less marked.
Maximum temperatures are expected to rise by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema on Sunday.
Rainfall was recorded at one or two places in Rayalaseema, while dry weather prevailed in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the past 24 hours, the report added...////...
