Three nabbed with heroin in J&K’s Samba

Jammu, Mar 5 (Reporter) Police on Tuesday arrested three drug dealers with contraband of heroin in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir. Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Vinay Kumar said three drug dealers, all residents of Kishtwar district, were arrested near Balole Khad in Bari Brahmana area. “Police team had received information regarding three people indulging in the sale and purchase of heroin (Chitta) near Balol Khad,” said the SSP. He added that acting on information, a police team established a checkpoint and apprehended all of them and during the search, 14 grams of heroin was recovered from their possession. The arrested persons were identified as Umar Hussain, Bilal Ahmed, and Irfan Ahmed. The arrest was executed by a team led by SHO Police Station Bari Brahman Inspector Sumeet Sharma, assisted by PSI Vineet and PSI Ibrar under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana Mukund Tibrewal. “The arrests have come in the backdrop of recent property seizure of drug dealers in Samba.
