Three-member committee to probe building collapse incident

Lucknow, Sep 8 (Reporter) The Uttar Pradesh government on Sunday constituted a three-member committee to probe into the building collapse incident in Sarojini Nagar area which left eight dead and several others injured, official sources said here. Sources said that Principal Secretary, Home, Dr Sanjiv Gupta will be the Chairman of the committee, whereas Secretary of Housing and Urban Planning Balkar Singh and Chief Engineer (Central Region) PWD Vijay Kannaujiya will be its members. The committee is expected to comprehensively investigate the causes of the incident and submit its report to the government as soon as possible. Eight people were killed and 30 others injured when a three-story building collapsed in Transport Nagar of Sarojini Nagar area on Saturday evening. Most of the injured are being treated at Lok Bandhu Hospital while some others who are seriously injured have been admitted to KGMU Trauma Centre...////...
