Lucknow, May 7 (Reporter) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that 'Operation Sindoor' is a befitting reply to terrorists as those who tried to snatch 'Sindoor' (vermilion) of India's sisters and daughters have lost their families. While reviewing the preparations of civil security during the mock drill programme here, the CM said Operation Sindoor is a symbol of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Armed Forces' sympathy towards the sisters and daughters. "The public also fully supports the valour of the army," he said. He described the army's action on the Pahalgam attack as decisive. "We will not let anyone play with the honour and pride of the country. The country comes first. Those who have conspired against Bharat Mata will have to face the consequences," he said. Fully supporting the military action, he said that whenever a security related issue comes up in villages, cities and localities, the country will be taken care of first. He said that not only NCC, Home Guard or Scout, but also common citizens will have to join the security agencies. He appealed to all the citizens to understand their duties and participate in the security of the country. The CM congratulated the three Defence forces - Army, Navy and Air Force- Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Cabinet on behalf of the people of UP for the military action taken in response to the April 22 terrorist strike in Pahalgam that left 26 people, including 25 tourists, dead.. He also expressed condolences to the people martyred in Pahalgam. He interacted with all the agencies related to civil security and reviewed their preparations. He said that such mock drills give information to the general public about taking the right steps in emergency situations, which is very important for the nation's security. In the mock drill organised at the Reserve Police Line in Lucknow, Yogi started with 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'. As soon as the mock drill was started by NDRF, the siren started ringing. A blackout was observed to avoid enemy air strikes and citizens took shelter in safe places. When the danger ended with the second siren, first aid was given to the injured. Fire, medical personnel and rescue teams helped the injured. Measures to save citizens from collapsed structures and to deal with chemical attacks were also taught...////...
