Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel reviewed the election process of the District Red Cross Committees of the state at Raj Bhavan. He has instructed to start the election process of the district units whose tenure is ending or has ended soon.

Principal Secretary Public Health and Medical Education Shri Sandeep Yadav, Commissioner Shri Tarun Rathi, Additional Secretary to Governor Shri Umashankar Bhargav, Collector Bhopal Shri Kaushlendra Vikram Singh, General Secretary of State Red Cross Committee and other officers of Raj Bhavan were present.

Governor Shri Patel said that there should be a regular election of units at every level of Red Cross. Election work should be done on time. This system should be strengthened further. The tenure of the district units of the state is in the final phase or has been completed. The calendar of their election should be issued. Governor Shri Patel has also asked to start the election process of the committees associated with Red Cross. He has expected the officials to review the use of the grant given to Red Cross units by the Raj Bhavan. There should be no hindrance in the availability of proper medicines to the patients of sickle cell anemia. He has also directed for continuous monitoring of this.
