Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel, marking the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution, has urged the people of the state to reaffirm their commitment to uphold constitutional values in all their actions with sincerity on Constitution Day. He urged citizens to resolve to actively contribute to enhancing public awareness of the rights granted by the Constitution and the responsibilities assigned to them through their actions and behaviour. The Governor Shri Patel was addressing the politicians, officials and citizens at Hans Dhwani Auditorium, Ravindra Bhawan as the chief guest of the mass recitation programme of the Preamble of the Constitution organised by the state government. Governor Shri Patel had the Preamble of the Constitution read out by the attendees of the programme. On this occasion, the documentary Glory of Constitution produced by the Government of India and the short film prepared by the Parliamentary Affairs Department of the state were screened.
