Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav stated that the contributions made by Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar for the welfare of society can never be forgotten. He emphasised that the legacy and reforms initiated by Baba Saheb continue to inspire generations. Dr. Yadav was speaking during his visit to the under-construction Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Dham in Jaurasi, Gwalior, on Saturday.
The Chief Minister announced that the second phase of development work for Ambedkar Dham will commence soon. A Bhoomi-Pujan will be held shortly, in the presence of Union Minister Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, and local Member of Parliament Shri Bharat Singh Kushwaha, along with other senior leaders.
During the inspection, the Chief Minister was accompanied by Agriculture Minister Shri Eddal Singh Kanshana, MP Shri Bharat Singh Kushwaha, MLA Shri Mohan Singh Rathore, former minister Smt. Imarti Devi, public representatives, senior officials, and local citizens.
CM Dr. Yadav highlighted that both the central and state governments continue to honour the legacy of Dr. Ambedkar. A grand memorial has already been established at Mau, where an annual Ambedkar Kumbh is organised on his birth anniversary. Similarly, the Ambedkar Dham in Jaurasi is being developed as a grand centre for education, inspiration, and social unity.
The facilities being constructed at Ambedkar Dham include a digital library, museum, auditorium, and conference hall. In the second phase, additional modern amenities will be integrated to make the complex a comprehensive social and cultural hub.
At the site, the CM Dr. Yadav paid floral tributes to the statue of Dr. Ambedkar and reflected on his lifelong dedication to social justice and upliftment of the marginalized.
