Thakur slams Rahul for insulting Bharat during foreign tours

Kangra, Sep 22 (Reporter) Former Union Minister and BJP leader Anurag Thakur on Sunday asked Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi to explain the compulsion due to which he insults Bharat during his foreign tours. In his attempt to criticise Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Rahul Gandhi has started criticising Bharat, said Thakur, who was in Kangra in connection with a BJP membership drive at Matour. The former Union minister said that Rahul Gandhi was damaging the great stature of India and the progressive steps of the country with his speeches during foreign visits. He alleged that it shows the Congress has an agenda that India should not progress and for this the party has joined hands with “tukday tukday gang” (people determined to divide India) and have given them tickets for polls. He alleged that the Congress and the National Conference, who are jointly fighting the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, had developed the same mentality as Pakistan. In reply to a question on J&K elections, the BJP leader refuted allegations that the saffron party would form a government with the support of a regional party led by MP Engineer Rashid. Thakur said that after the revocation of Article 370 scraping of 35 A terrorism had come down by 70 per cent in J&K. He asked the Congress and Chief minister of Himachal Pradesh Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu to disclose the steps his government had taken to identify and deport Rohingyas and Bangladeshis who were allegedly posing a threat to people of the hill state. After Thakur’s speech, Kangra Dham was served to BJP activists who took part in the membership drive.
