Hyderabad, May 25 (Reporter) The campaign for the Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda graduates MLC by-election concluded at 1600 hours on Saturday.
The constituency, which spans 34 assembly constituencies, will hold polling on May 27 from 0800 hours to 1600 hours. Voters will cast their ballots in 605 polling booths.
There are a total of 4,63,839 graduate voters, with 52 candidates contesting in this by-election.
The combined Warangal district has the highest number of graduate voters at 1,73,406, followed by the joint Nalgonda district with 1,66,448, and the combined Khammam district with 1,23,985. The competition between Congress, BRS, and BJP candidates is intense, with each party employing various strategies to attract graduate voters.
Key leaders from the respective parties actively campaigned for their candidates. Union Minister and Telangana BJP President G Kishan Reddy, along with Etala Rajender and several other BJP leaders, supported BJP candidate Premender Reddy.
BRS working president K T Rama Rao (KTR), former Minister Harish Rao, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, and other key leaders campaigned for the BRS candidate.
Local ministers and MLAs campaigned in support of Congress candidate Chintapandu Naveen, also known as Teenmar Mallanna.
