Hyderabad, June 1 (Reporter) In the ongoing investigation into the scam involving the sheep distribution scheme, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Telangana arrested two more officials on Friday.
The officials are implicated in a criminal misappropriation case registered against the Animal Husbandry Department, Telangana.
The accused officers are identified as Sabavath Ramchander (AO-9), Chief Executive Officer of the Telangana State Livestock Development Agency, Masab Tank, Hyderabad, and former Managing Director of the Telangana State Sheep and Goat Development Cooperative Federation Limited (TSSGDCF), and Gundamaraju Kalyan Kumar (AO-10), former Officer on Special Duty to the then Minister for Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development, Fisheries, and Cinematography, Hyderabad.
According to an ACB statement issued on Saturday, these officials colluded and conspired with private individuals, committing gross illegal acts and violations in the course of their duties.
The accused violated all instructions issued for the procurement of sheep, deliberately involving private individuals and brokers in the process. With malicious intent, both AO-9 and AO-10 instructed all district Joint Directors and District Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Officers (DVAHOs) of the Animal Husbandry Department to facilitate the misappropriation of government funds by private persons.

As a result, AO-9, AO-10, and their private accomplices illegally obtained undue advantages and caused a wrongful loss to the government exchequer, misappropriating government funds worth Rs. 2.10 crore. The two officials improperly and dishonestly performed their official duties, leading to significant revenue losses for the government.
The arrests took place on Friday at around 1600 hours, and the officials were produced before the First Additional Special Judge for ACB cases in Hyderabad for judicial remand...////...
