New Delhi, Jan 22 (Reporter) Tata Group flagship company Tata Communications on Wednesday reported 473 percent year-on-year (YoY) growth in its consolidated net profit at Rs 257 crore in the third quarter ended December 2024 versus Rs 45 crore in the same quarter of previous financial year. Revenue from operations in the reporting period jumped only 2.9 percent YoY to Rs 5,798 crore as against Rs 5,633 crore in the same period of last year, the company said in a release. Commenting on the results, A.S. Lakshminarayanan, MD and CEO, Tata Communications, said: “Q3 has been a satisfactory quarter with strong growth in digital revenues, improved margins, and enhanced free cash flow. We are advancing well in our review of subsidiaries, with a clear focus on optimising their performance and unlocking value, as demonstrated in the case of Tata Communications Payments Solutions Limited. I believe in the world of AI, digital infrastructure will be even more critical and our investments in our Digital Fabric will hold us in good stead.” Data revenue grew 6.2 percent YoY, coming in at Rs 4,903 crore during the third quarter of current fiscal while the digital revenue grew 10.2 percent YoY, totalling Rs 2,313 crore, the company said. Over and above the divestiture of our payment solutions business, we continue to pursue other monetisation opportunities and strategic evaluation of assets.
