Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the state government is progressing towards an agreement by engaging in discussions with the Maharashtra government regarding the Tapti Basin Mega Recharge Scheme. Every corner of the region will be irrigated with this world's largest ground recharge project. CM Dr. Yadav was discussing with the farmers who came to meet from Burhanpur under the leadership of former Minister and MLA Burhanpur Smt. Archana Chitnis in the Mantralaya on Tuesday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was also called on by representatives of Naval Singh Cooperative Sugar Factory Limited Burhanpur. CM Dr. Yadav said that in public interest, a board of directors capable of running the sugar factory should be formed and the factory should be run in the interest of farmers and regional people, the state government is ready to provide every possible cooperation. Farmers from Burhanpur also requested Chief Minister Dr. Yadav to hike the compensation of RBC (6-4) for watermelon and muskmelon. MP Shri Gyaneshwar Patil and MLA Sushri Manju Dadu were also present on this occasion.
