Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will attend the IT Conclave in Indore on April 27. On this occasion, the Madhya Pradesh Council of Science and Technology will showcase a digital database focused on water structures from all 55 districts of the state. Dr. Yadav reviewed preparations for various upcoming public welfare programs and inaugural events in a meeting with senior officials at Samatva Bhavan, his official residence.
Dr. Yadav stated that through satellite mapping, it has become possible to digitally assess the water retention status of water structures in two different seasons (pre- and post-monsoon). The classification of rivers and ancient water bodies has also become easier. This initiative enables geo-tagging of water bodies and precise location identification through their names—a commendable achievement. Along with the Conclave, a National Scientific Conference will also be held in Indore on April 27.
The Chief Minister noted that several initiatives are underway in Madhya Pradesh to fulfill Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s dream of Digital India. A positive environment is being created in the field of science and technology.
Dr. Yadav emphasized raising awareness among students about science by involving them in various competitions. He suggested encouraging students to visit the Science City, Observatory (Vaidhshala), and Planetarium in Ujjain. It was shared during the meeting that the Council of Science and Technology has arranged for over 700 students to travel by Vande Bharat Express to visit prestigious institutions in New Delhi and Chandigarh.
