Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reviewed the rainfall situation and Ganesh idol immersion arrangements from the State Situation Room on Saturday. Interacting with Collectors and SPs through video conferencing, he directed all districts to remain on high alert, ensure smooth immersion and take extra precautions in view of heavy rains. He also watched a live demonstration of disaster management measures and proper arrangements for Ganesh idol immersion. CM Dr. Yadav instructed officials to shift people to safe locations if needed and manage flood relief effectively.
CM Dr. Yadav reviewed arrangements with Collectors of Ujjain, Indore, Jabalpur, Ratlam, Gwalior, and Bhopal through video conferencing. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that all arrangements for Ganesh idol immersion must remain updated. The entire administration should stay vigilant and complete the process late into the night. Extra caution should be exercised in case of heavy rainfall, and people should be shifted to safe locations if necessary. He directed Collectors to ensure effective flood relief management, stressing that no one should face hardship due to rain. Adequate preparedness must be in place. Disaster response teams should act quickly to rescue those affected, while all officials must fulfill their responsibilities with full sensitivity and a spirit of humanity.
Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Jain, ACS (Home), Shri Shiv Shekhar Shukla and DGP Shri Kailash Makwana were present during the meeting.
