Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that every possible effort is being made to drive the state’s development through science and technology. The state government has introduced its new drone policy, emphasising the need to progress in step with the world. The Chief Minister highlighted that Indian society has never lagged behind in quickly adopting new technologies and innovations, and drones are proving to be a revolutionary change in various sectors.
Drones are supporting farmers in agricultural activities, making pesticide spraying easier and more efficient. They are also being used in national security operations and in celebratory events such as weddings. Indian scientists are advancing drone technology with innovations like voice command control, and the world witnessed the strength of Indian drone capabilities during Operation Sindoor. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has showcased its technological prowess in the drone sector, even in challenging security scenarios.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the Drone Technology Workshop and Expo 2025 at Vigyan Bhavan, Nehru Nagar, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. He explored the exhibition and workshop, engaging with stalls set up by academic institutions, startups, and industries to understand the educational, industrial, and agricultural uses of drone technology. The Chief Minister stated that organising the Drone Tech Expo & Workshop symbolises India’s technological revolution and called drones a boon for farmers. Whether for disaster management or police monitoring, drones have brought unprecedented change to many aspects of life. The State Government is keen to leverage drone technology as a powerful medium for development, innovation, and self-reliance.
Dr. Anil Kothari, Director General, M.P. Council of Science and Technology said the expo marks the state's 70th Foundation Day. Over 4,000 students registered for drone training, where experts will provide valuable information on self-employment and tech-based skills. The council remains committed to supporting the state’s development at every level through scientific and technical innovation.
