Stalin flays Centre, says will never allow TN to be ruled from Delhi

Chennai, June 12 (Reporter) Lambasting the BJP-led Government at the Centre for neglecting Tamil Nadu in all fronts for the last 11 years, Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin took a dig at Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his criticisms against the ruling DMK and said Tamils have self-respect and would not allow TN to be ruled from Delhi. Speaking at an official function and launching various projects and distributing welfare schemes to more than on lakh beneficiaries in Salem district, he hit out at the Centre and categorically stated that Tamil Nadu will never be allowed to be ruled from Delhi as Tamils have self respect. Accusing the Centre of unable to digest the popularity of the DMK government among the people for launching various welfare initiatives, he cited the criticisms made by Mr Amit Shah during his recent visit to Madurai that the DMK government had not done anything, not fulfilled its promises and making mere promises and said he was compelled to respond to them. Charging Mr Amit Shah with outpouring his anger against the DMK government that it was taking credit for the schemes launched by the BJP-led government at the centre and preventing them reaching the people, Mr Stalin said the truth, however, was on the contrary. Stoutly refuting Mr Amit Shah's criticisms, the Chief Minister said whether it was drinking water projects or housing projects, it was the state government which was implementing the schemes by providing additional funds as the allocation made by the Centre was inadequate. Even for the schemes with PM's name, it was being implemented with more than 50 per cent allocation of funds by the State government, he said...////...
