Firozabad (UP), Oct 31 (UN) Samajwadi Party (SP) president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday appealed to the workers to work hard to win all the nine seats of the Uttar Pradesh Assembly in by-election. Addressing the party workers, who gathered from all over the state at the party office in Saifai on the occasion of Diwali, Akhilesh said, "We have to win all the nine seats in the by-election and this victory will be achieved only on the strength of workers, so everyone should unite and work hard in the assembly by-election," he said. He said, "The workers of the area where elections are being held should not only appeal to their relatives and close people to vote in favour of SP but also take assurance from them that the victory of the party will be good for them." The SP chief said, "It was the result of the hard work of the workers in the recent Lok Sabha elections that SP won 37 seats in UP. SP has to keep its performance as good as before. The way SP won 37 seats in the Lok Sabha elections, the morale of the workers of the party has increased. This morale has to be increased further by winning the by-elections of 9 assembly seats." It may be noted that Akhilesh reached Saifai from Lucknow late on Wednesday night on the occasion of Diwali. On Thursday morning, the SP chief first reached the residence of party's chief national general secretary Profr Ram Gopal Yadav and took blessings on the festival of Diwali. After that, he reached the party office in Saifai where he met MPs, MLAs and party workers from all over the state and wished everyone a Happy Diwali.
