Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that it is a pleasant feeling for us that today on the holy land of Ashta, 990 daughters have become brides together in a mass marriage programme under the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah and Nikah Yojana. Out of these, 792 couples tied the knot according to Hindu and 198 couples tied the knot according to Muslim customs, this is an ideal example of social harmony. Two couples who got married were from Kalyani Vivaah Yojana and 2 couples were from Nishkt Vivah Protsahan Yojana. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav virtually participated in the programme organised by the Department of Social Justice and Disabled Empowerment in Ashta Sehore from the CM's residence, Bhopal. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav greeted the organisers of the mass marriage programme held in Ashta and wished the married couples.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the country is continuously progressing under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The state government is also implementing policies to make the state prosperous with the basic mantra of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas. Under the scheme in the state, marriages of more than 19 thousand girls were conducted, on which about Rs 115 crore was spent. The poor, elderly, Kalyani and Divyangjans in the state are being benefited from the Social Security Pension Scheme. Under the Social Pension Scheme, Rs 337 crore per month has been distributed through a single click. 35 percent reservation is being given to women in government jobs in the state. The state government is committed to provide the benefits of Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana and other public welfare schemes to all eligible beneficiaries.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that in the Indian Sanatan tradition, marriage is a sacred bond that lasts for many births. He wished all the couples entering married life through the mass marriage programme a happy life. MLA Shri Gopal Singh Engineer, Smt. Rachna Mewar, District Panchayat President Sehore, Smt. Diksha Gunwan, Janpad Panchayat President Ashta and other public representatives were present in the programme held in Ashta.
