Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 23 (Reporter) Kerala Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar on Sunday said the social mindset towards Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) should change for the real uplift of them. Inaugurating the Dalit Progressive National Conclave here, the Governor pointed out that change of religion or faith does not alter the basic living conditions of the deprived. He also called for concerted action to be undertaken to bring real tangible improvement in their lives. Observing that Dr. Ambedkar's life was one of great suffering and it holds a lesson for the present day, he said his life and message takes him beyond Bharatratna and takes him to Viswaratna.' He said the birthday of Dr. Ambedkar should be celebrated by all and not confined among SC ST communities alone.
