Ghazipur (UP), Jan 31 (Reporter) Six persons were killed and 15 others were injured when a pickup van overturned in the Nandganj area of Ghazipur district in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, a senior police officer said here. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the road accident in Ghazipur district and expressed condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. The CM directed the district administration to immediately send the injured to the hospital and to provide them with proper treatment. Along with this, he also wished the speedy recovery of the injured. Superintendent of Police (SP) Iraj Raja said that the incident took place when pilgrims were returning to Bansgaon after attending the Kumbh fair in Prayagraj. He said that near Kusumi Kala village the pickup van overturned. He said that six pilgrims were killed on the spot and 15 others were injured.
