Six feared drowned in Gandak River

Bagaha, Aug 24 (Reporter) Six people including a woman feared drowned in the Gandak River under Bhitaha police station area in West Champaran district on Saturday. Police said here that about fifty people were crossing the Gandak River in a boat when it capsized midstream. Six people including a woman were missing while others swept to shore safely, police added. " Senior officials of the district administration reached the spot soon after getting information about the incident", police said adding that personnel of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) were engaged in tracing the missing persons.
