Leg-spinner Simran Shaikh emerged as the costliest player, with Gujarat Giants acquiring her for ₹1.90 crore, marking a standout moment in the bidding war. Mumbai Indians also made significant acquisitions, securing Tamil Nadu’s 16-year-old G Kamalini for ₹1.60 crore. Kamalini’s selection highlights the growing interest in young talent, while also making history as one of the biggest bids for an uncapped player. West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin, who has been in exceptional form since her return to international cricket, became one of the top picks of the day.
