Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has directed the simplification of the caste certificate application process in the state. He also said that the systems for obtaining birth and death certificates should be made more accessible through improved coordination among relevant departments. Dr. Yadav instructed the implementation of mess facilities and the construction of boundary walls in post-matric girls' hostels for backward classes to enhance security. Additionally, solar panels will be installed in these hostels. For the 2024-25 budget, he approved a separate scholarship portal and allocated Rs 560 crore to supplement existing provisions for backward class post-matric scholarships. These directives were issued during a review of the Backward Class-Minority Welfare and Denotified, Nomadic, and Semi-Nomadic Welfare Department at Mantralaya, where Department Minister Smt. Krishna Gaur, Chief Secretary Smt. Veera Rana, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, and other officials were present.
