Dhaka, Aug 13 (Reporter) Former Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina's adviser, Salman F Rahman, and former Law minister Anisul Huq were arrested in Dhaka on Tuesday, media reports said.
Md Mainul Hasan, commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, was quoted as saying in a news report of The Daily Star.
According to police sources, during the quota reform movement, two people were killed in a clash in front of Dhaka College on July 16.
Two murder cases were filed at the New Market police station in connection with this incident. Salman and Anisul have been shown to have been arrested as the instigators of the murders.
Salman Rahman was elected as an MP from the Dhaka-1 (Dohar-Nawabganj) constituency in the 12th National Elections. He is one of the country's leading businessmen, according to the Dhaka Tribune.
Anisul Huq, on the other hand, has been elected as an MP from the Brahmanbaria-4 (Kasba) constituency under the Awami League since 2014.
